This accessibility statement applies to the website under the domain of zew.de. The accessibility requirements arise from Section 3 Articles 1–4 and Section 4 of the BITV 2.0, which was implemented on the basis of Section 12d of the BGG.

Which parts of this website are not fully accessible?

Measures:

ZEW is constantly working to improve accessibility on its websites and to introduce further measures to eliminate barriers. The ZEW’s Media Design team is developing and implementing a step-by-step concept to reduce barriers to PDFs. New publications are designed according to accessibility criteria whenever possible.

Illustrations and control elements

  • For control elements, informative or linked illustrations, suitable text alternatives or labels might not always be available.
  • Keyboard focus on buttons and linked images is not clearly visible.

Accordion

Accordion elements cannot yet be accessed by keyboard.

Registration form, newsletter form

Forms do not yet issue an automatic error message in case of a wrong entry and do not set the keyboard focus on the corresponding field or message.

PDF documents

Most PDF documents on the site are not barrier-free.

Headlines

A clear hierarchy of headlines is not consistently adhered to on all websites, especially when boxes or news items are included on the page.

Links

  • The destination of HTML links may not always be evident from the link text.
  • File links may not contain all the information required for accessibility.
